Philanthropy

One of AWC’s long-standing traditions is to champion and mentor young women who belong to AWC student chapters across the country. The AWC-Madison Professional Chapter continues that tradition with our member-endowed Catch a Rising Star Scholarship Award, given annually to an aspiring student pursuing a career in communications.

APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The Catch a Rising Star scholarship application process will begin at the end of November 2008. Applications are due by mid-February 2009. Stay tuned for more information on dates.

CONTRIBUTE

The primary source of scholarship funding is member gifts. Contributions of any level are welcome. Benefactors are recognized each year in the Career Quest event program.

Superstar: $1,000

Shooting Star: $500

Rising Star: $100

Catch a Star: $50

Starlight: Any amount you choose

All contributions are tax-exempt through the AWC Matrix Foundation. The money you give is used exclusively to fund scholarships that benefit members of the AWC student chapter associated with the Madison Chapter.
