Professional Membership is available to women and men with any degree as a professional communicator or two years of communications experience. A Professional Member may join a local chapter (AWC-Madison, for instance) or become an independent AWC member. Annual dues for Professional Members are $159 ($129 to national and $30 to Madison Chapter). An additional, one-time $50 registration fee is due only the first year to the National organization and $25 to our chapter.
Entrepreneurial Membership is available only to those actively in business as consultants, freelancers, or sole proprietors—without other gainful employment. With your application, please submit a web address (in the “comments” section of the application form) or a business card (which can be sent in separately). Annual dues for Entrepreneurial Members are $144 ($114 to national; $30 to Madison Chapter). An additional, one-time $50 registration fee is due only the first year to the National organization and $25 to our chapter. Entrepreneurial Members of the Madison Chapter are invited to attend the Independent Communicators Round Table.
New Graduate Membership is open to women and men who graduated in the past 12 months and who demonstrate a committment to a communications career. Annual dues are $64 ($34 to national; $30 to Madison Chapter). Application fees are waived for new graduates.
Retired Membership is open to retired communications professionals age 62+ who work 20 or less hours per week. It is also open to professionals age 72+ regardless of employment status. Annual dues for retired members are $64 ($34 to national; $30 to Madison Chapter). Application fees are waived for retired members.
